Sunlight Psychotherapy was created to be more than just a therapy practice—it’s a space for real connection, inclusive care, and lasting support. Inspired by lived experience, guided by compassion, and grounded in a belief that healing should feel safe, steady, and accessible.
Why I Started This Practice
My own mental health journey began when I was young. Therapy became a safe place—one that helped me feel seen and understood during some of the hardest moments in my life. That experience planted the seed for my passion to help others, and eventually led me to become a therapist.
Sunlight Psychotherapy is named in honour of Ciara Sunlight, my childhood dog and best friend. She was with me through every season of growth and healing, and this practice carries forward the warmth and comfort she gave me every day.
What We Represent
At Sunlight Psychotherapy, we offer therapy that’s collaborative, trauma-informed, and inclusive. We honour neurodivergent ways of thinking and being, support LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and families, and create space for people to show up as they are. Our work is about slowing down, finding safety, and healing at a pace that respects your nervous system and your story.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Our approach is flexible, person-centered, and grounded in deep listening. Whether you're seeking short-term support or long-term healing, we meet you where you’re at—emotionally, culturally, and logistically. We prioritize authentic connection and a judgment-free environment where growth is possible.
